Open world is a big part of the Warframe experience. From farming necessary resources for different gear and weapons to completing bountries to get your hands on some of the exclusive must have Warframe mods.
The only problem, however is that these open world maps are really huge, and often traveling from one end of the map to the other takes the fun out the gaming experience. If you play Warframe in a public lobby, you must have noticed other players flying across the map was really high speed. But how do they do that ? How can you also fly like others in the map ? That’s what I will tell you in this detailed article.
To fly in Warframe, you will need an Archwing and Archwing Launcher equipped in your gear wheel. Archwing Launcher can be used only in the open world maps like Plains of Eidolon to travel across the map faster. It takes 2hr to collect all the resources needed to build the launcher.
What is an Archwing ?
Archwing is an item used by players to engage in a three dimensional combat experience during Archwing exclusive and Railjack missions in Warframe. Addiotinally, Archwing can be used to travel faster across the open world map in Warframe, which we will discuss in this article.
How to get Archwing in Warframe ?
There are two ways to get Archwing in Warframe:
- Games provide you with an Odanta Archwing during the “The Archwing” Quest
- You can purchase Archwings from Tenno Lab in the Clan Dojo.
How to use Archwing to fly in Warframe
After completing the “The Archwing” quest, players will get access to Archwing missions and Railjack menu as well but you won’t be able to use Archwing anywhere else and you will need Archwing Launcher to use in open world likes Plain of Eidolon, Orb Vallis and Cambion Drift.
How to get Archwing Launcher Blueprint
The Archwing launcher is need by players to use Archwing freely in open worlds like Plains of Eidolon, the blueprint will be available after completing “The Archwing” Quest and it has infinite uses. So you don’t have to craft the Archwing Launcher again and again to use.
The problem however is that to build the Archwing Launcher, you will need to add “Archwing Launcher Segment” into your foundry. The blueprint of Archwing Launcher Segment can be purchased from Clan Dojo in Tenno Lab for 15,000 credits.
However you will first need to build the “Archwing Launcher Segment” which takes 12 Hrs to build and then additional “30 mins” to build the “Archwing Launcher” itself taking total time of 12hr 30 min to complete everything after gathering all the required materials.
How to join a Clan in Warframe ?
Clan dojo provides you with lot of important resoruces you will need in the game and Archwing Launcher Segment is one of them but to access the Clan Dojo and Tenno Lab you will need to join a clan first. The best way to join a clan in Warframe is to use in game recruiting channel chat.
- Press “T” to open the Chat box by default. Under this you will find different tabs.
- Click on “Recruiting” tab and the enter the message that you are looking to join a clan or want to join clan.
- The clan recruiter will send you the invite to join their clan.
P.S: In my personal experience, it hardly takes 5 min to join a clan.
As soon as you join the clan, you will be provided with the clan key blueprint. It will be available in the foundry which will take 12hr to build. Once constructed the blueprint will be consumed and the clan key will stay in your inventory forever.
Collecting Materials for the Archwing:
Considering you are a new player, you will need the following things to use Archwing in the open world maps:
- Clan key (12hr to build)
- Can be obtained after joining a clan using the recruiting tab in the In-Game chat box
- Archwing Launcher Segment (12 hr)
- Can be obtained from Tenno Lab in clans dojo for 15,000 credits.
- An Archwing (13 mins to build)
- Can be obtained after completing “The Archwing” quest
- Archwing Launcher Blueprint (30 mins to build)
- Will be automatically added into your foundry after completing “The Archwing” quest
- Completing “The Archwing quest”
- Quest is unlocked uplon unlocking the Mars junction on Earth
The total building time for all this is 24hr and 43 mins.
